DataDecode
About
Platforms: Web
Engine: HTML5 + XML
Genre: Educational Game
Time: 10 months

Description
DataDecode invites the user to carry out a series of missions to understand the notion of data by playing, experimenting, and even programming (text generation, database, literary games, collaborative/asymmetric, data economy).
For example, the player is asked to produce an original augmented text that can potentially be shared, a text where words, images and sounds are put into action under the impulse of commands activated by the user.
Level Design
-
Creation of the exercices
-
Implementation in the engine of the exercices
-
Integration of database of words and images
Challenges
As the only game designer on the project, I had to imagine progressive activities and lessons accessible to children from 9 to 16 years old whatever their starting knowledge in digital and database. This required a lot of pedagogical work to ensure that each child could finish the game.
Quality Assurance
-
Testing of the missions and refinement
-
Animator and analysis of playtests in Exhibition demonstration and classroom tests
Game Design
-

-

-
